Account

No. You can check out as a guest. An account simply keeps your feeding plans, analysis sheets and order history in one place, which is useful at insurance renewal time.

Delivery

Off the ground, under cover, with air moving through the stack. Keep it under 15% moisture and away from direct sun, and rotate oldest first. Most hay problems we are called about are storage problems.

Yes. GoldFields Global Canada Inc. serves North America; GoldFields Global Trading LLC handles the UAE and wider GCC from Dubai Cattle Market, Shed 22. Containerised freight, phytosanitary documentation and delivery scheduling are handled in house.

Feeding

Between 1.5% and 2.5% of bodyweight, on a dry matter basis. A 500 kg horse in light work sits around 7 to 9 kg a day; the same horse in hard work climbs to 11 to 13 kg. A 1,000 kg draft horse can need 14 to 20 kg.

Our plan builder will do the arithmetic, and a free consultation refines it around dentition, pasture access and metabolic status.

Timothy is a grass: high fibre, modest protein, low sugar, and the safer default for easy keepers and metabolic horses.

Alfalfa is a legume: far higher in protein and calcium, and the right tool for broodmares, growing youngstock and hard keepers. Most yards end up on a blend, which is why we bale them together to specification.

Orders

Forage is perishable, so we cannot accept opened bales back. If a lot is genuinely defective — mould, excessive dust, wrong specification against its analysis sheet — we replace or refund it. Tell us within 48 hours of delivery.

Products

Because respirable dust and mould spores are the leading dietary trigger for equine asthma. Mechanically extracting dust from chopped straw means a horse can eat with its head down — the position it is built to eat in — without inflaming its airways.

Hay in 30, 45, 50, 350 and 400 kg formats; chopped straw from 20 kg. Large squares run in 3x3x8 and 3x4x7 configurations. We supply single bales through to containerised truckloads.

Hydroponically germinated barley, oats or wheat cut as a living green mat on a six day cycle — roughly 85% moisture and fed fresh. It is a genuine advantage in climates with no grazing season, and it pairs with rather than replaces long stem forage. Feed 1 to 2 kg a day alongside hay.

Services

Yes, and we would rather you did. Send a core sample and we return a full assay — fibre, protein, sugar, starch, minerals and energy — with a written interpretation. We build the ration around the hay you own before recommending anything new.
